Pregnancy massage will be performed in a face down only position within the first trimester of the pregnancy. During the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, the expectant mother will be treated in a sideline position to ensure the comfort and safety for both mother and baby. The Massage Therapist will place pillows in strategic positions to support the mother in areas of stress. Care is taken to use techniques that will benefit the expectant mother and not to use techniques that could cause adverse reactions.

Massage during the postpartum weeks can help relieve symptoms and help the new mother adjust to the many changes in her body and her new life. Postpartum massage helps restore the muscle to the pre-pregnancy state and address the stress the body endures from carrying and caring for the newborn child.
