Hunterhorn Centre of Therapeutic Massage

Michaela Crump a registered massage therapist (RMT) who graduated from a three year program at Medicine Hat College and has practiced since 2008. She has been able to obtain a variety of massage-related skills and hands-on experience through various opportunities such as athletics-oriented therapy with the woman's basketball team, various volunteer events, and clinical experience in an adult inpatient psychiatry ward. The first day of college sparked a passion for massage and this passion has only continued to grow.

Michaela has taken many massage courses since she graduated and continues to educate herself on the various ways she can aid her clients. She has gained experience in various work settings to include a physiotherapy clinic, a chiropractic clinic, and various high-end spas. After a year of backpacking in Australia and New Zealand, she developed a new understanding of the emotional side to pain and the profound effects it has on people. This understanding was thanks to various healing mentors she had the opportunity to learn from.

Michaela takes a holistic approach to her clients, addressing and honoring all aspects of the person in order to provide the best treatment possible. She blends the various techniques she has learned and investigates the origin of the client's issues, while empowering clients to take charge of their own health and well being. Michaela loves helping people and feels truly blessed that she is able to do this every day.

In her spare time, Michaela enjoys hiking, yoga, reading, creating art, travelling and spending time with her family.
